| Riviera Beach, FL: Our own Bert Haines turned 100 years of age in November and his attendance at the Nov. 21st flotilla meeting will never be forgotten. Over 100 people attended to pay their respects and show their appreciation. Men and women alike, dressed in tropical blue, long uniforms, replete with all the bells and whistles – including some attendees from the gold side, also in their “trops” -- turned Newcomb Hall in Riviera Beach into a ballroom suitable for an American patriot.Capping the honor presentations, Auxiliarists Rhonda Hebert and Edward McClaran, presented Bert with a beautifully crafted plaque commemorating his service. The Mayor of Riviera Beach, Michael Brown, was there and paid his respects, as did Rear Commodore Gene Kahn, USCGAUX and DCP-5 Ron Cuneo.
