Ocean Pines, Maryland. Fred Stiehl is sworn in as a new member of the Fifth District's 12-05 Flotilla. He is retired and decided to attend an open meeting of the Flotilla which is held every first Monday of the month.
He said he became aware of the Auxiliary while attending the Boat Show in Ocean City early in 2006. Shortly after his visit to the 12-05 meeting, he said he wanted to become a part of something important and greater than himself by serving his country as an active member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary in Ocean City, Maryland.
